Meet the agents

Meet Scout, Proof, Quill, Gate and Echo.

Five agents cover research, USPS verification, writing, approvals and tracking. Nothing prints without your approval.

The principle

Agents do the legwork.
You make the calls.

They do the tedious part

Office research, USPS checks, first drafts and scan tracking.

You decide what matters

You settle holds, approve proofs and approve the drop.

They show their work

Addresses come with sources, and holds come with reasons.

01 · Scout · Research

Scout finds the business address.

Researches each contact's company and finds the office they work from, with the sources to prove it.

  • Uses the company website, LinkedIn company page, listings and state filings
  • Picks the office closest to the contact's city, or headquarters

Scout never researches where a person lives.

02 · Proof · Verify

Proof verifies it with USPS.

Checks every address against USPS CASS and holds anything that won't deliver, with the reason why.

  • Recovers missing suite and floor numbers with suite repair
  • Applies your suppression list to every drop

A held address never mails.

How verification works →

03 · Quill · Write

Quill helps you write the letter.

Drafts and revises letter copy from a short brief on our letter templates. Nothing goes in until you apply it.

  • Works on the fixed letter templates
  • Keeps your merge fields in place

04 · Gate · Approve

Gate holds it until you approve.

Nothing prints until you approve real production proofs. Change anything and the approval resets.

  • Binds approval, quote, payment and launch to one version
  • Schedules drops at least 24 hours out, movable until they print

05 · Echo · Track

Echo tracks each piece and scan.

Follows every letter to the mailbox and every QR scan back to the contact who made it.

  • Filters out automated link scanners and proof scans
  • Gives each mailed letter a private page for follow-up email

Questions about the agents

More in the full FAQ →

Are Mailyard's agents fully autonomous?

No. Each agent handles one step. You settle held addresses, approve the proofs and approve the drop.

Does AI write a different letter for every contact?

No. Quill drafts one letter from your brief on the fixed templates. Per-contact details come from merge fields like first name and company.

What do the agents cost?

Research credits are used only for verified, mailable addresses. USPS verification is included, and letters are priced per piece. See pricing.

Are the agents real people?

No. They name steps in the product. For a team that runs the campaign for you, see Mailyard Managed.
